TPCG Hosts Ethics Training Course for TPR Employees Saturday, August 25

Based on state legislation effective in 2012, all public servants will be required to take a 1-hour ethics training course every year.  A public servant is defined as any elected member, appointed member, and employees of the parish, whether compensated or not.

As a result, all parish recreation employees must complete the 1-hour ethics training course for 2018 and each year afterward for the duration of their employment with TPCG.  TPR employees include:

  • gym supervisors
  • field directors
  • field supervisors
  • girls and boys supervisors
  • sports official coordinator
  • senior officials
  • officials
  • field crew/scorekeepers/clock operators

TPCG's Human Resources Department will host two 1-hour live sessions for anyone unable to take the ethics course online.

The live seminar date has been set for Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Terrebonne Parish Recreation (TPR) Office located at 1192 Barrow Street in Houma.

  • Session 1 at 8:30 a.m.
  • Session 2 at 10:30 a.m.

The ethics video last approximately 70 minutes in length.

An employee must be present for the start of the video and remain for entire training. If not, the employee will have to repeat the required training to receive a certificate.

Ethics training certificates must be turned in by noon on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in order to be cleared for the season.

All employees are required to register with the Human Resources Department to ensure adequate space. Please email/call either Krystal or Bekki with TPCG’s Human Resources Department with the employees’ names and session they will be attending.
